Natalia’s Tip
If you’re using a ruler foot, stop stitching when the side of the foot reaches the outside of the block. This will eliminate the need for extra marking or measuring.
STEP 2 • From the center point, stitch a straight line toward a point that is ¼˝ from the first point. Stitch on the previous stitch line back to the center of the block.

STEP 3 • Repeat Step 2 to continue filling in the block.

This design is an interesting way to make your quilt block look a little bit taller than it actually is.
STEP 1 • Beginning at the bottom center point of the triangle, stitch-in-the-ditch all the way around the block. When you return to the center point, stitch a straight vertical line up through the center of the block.
